The big “Three in one”
One product, Kupfer Bock, is subsequently matured in three different barrels that have each been previously used for storage. The result is three quite different beers since each barrel lends its unique nuances to the flavours you can clearly taste. In this way, three distinct and exciting tastes can be created from one original beer.
Bourbon barrel
Original gravity: °P16 | alcohol content: 7.9% vol. | contains gluten
We detect subtle notes of whiskey, gentle roasted aromas, and a hint of vanilla—accompanied by dried fruits such as plums, apricots, and raisins. The first sip begins with a light, finely sparkling effervescence.
On the palate, the Bock quickly becomes opulent—initially sweet, reminiscent of crème caramel—yet finishes dry. At this point, the Bourbon aging becomes clearly noticeable: whiskey, peat, and a touch of tobacco. Warming. Excellent drinkability. A very refined digestif.
Also pairs wonderfully with rich, creamy cheeses—or a fine cigar.
Barbados rum barrel
Original gravity: °P16 | alcohol content: 7.9% vol. | contains gluten
Dark brown with reddish copper highlights, topped with the characteristic fine layer of beige foam. This special edition releases pronounced aromas of caramel, accompanied by subtle hints of vanilla and toffee.
An exotic coconut note adds a delicate sweetness. The initial taste is finely sparkling, as expected. On the palate, impressions of white chocolate and a touch of coffee unfold.
The warming finish offers a wonderfully attractive caramel flavor—dry and full-bodied. Pairs beautifully with fine, mildly flavored cheeses and light desserts.
Single malt barrel
Original gravity: °P16 | alcohol content: 7.9% vol. | contains gluten
This malt-aged variant gives off a pleasant aroma reminiscent of a piece of sponge cake dipped in coffee. Above that lies a note that evokes marzipan — and dark cherry. The initial taste is creamy and smooth.
It’s supported by a carefree hint of bitterness, pronounced roasted aromas, and subtle touches of wood and tobacco. The beer has an exemplary character: dry and clear; straightforward and unpretentious.
In the finish, a gentle smoky note appears — as if we're already sitting by a crackling fireplace.
