Only the best quality for breweries in Bavaria
Only the purest water from the Lengenfeld fields – vitalised with Grander® Technology – and the highest quality of malted barley from the region find their way to our independent brewery in Lengenfeld, Bavaria. We attach great importance to conscientious cultivation and care of the grain on our own farmland. After careful cleaning of the crops, they are malted by the local malting company, Ireks in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. The grain matures for several weeks in mild spring water to form new germs which produce so-called green malt. The combination of our traditional brewery and the Bräustüberl in Lengenfeld is a reason to celebrate because our characteristic Winkler Bräu beer specialities perfectly complement our gourmet cuisine.
As an independent brewery in Bavaria, our beer specialities enjoy an officially recognised reputation of excellence – for example at the renowned “European Beer Star” competition or the Consumer’s Favourite Award. We were also particularly pleased about the award given to Hanns Konrad Winkler for “Living Beer Culture at its Best” from the “Bavarian Beer Awards 2014.”
