Slow food – inspired by the seasons
Fresh, honest, and regional – that is how our authentic slow food, which is based on local quality products from our historic brewery, can be described. Since 1428, our guests have been dining here in historic rooms with original wood panelling, spacious corner benches, and sturdy wooden furniture. Out of love for our homeland, we support ambitious projects that skilfully combine nature conservation, regionalism, and gourmet pleasure, such as the Juradistl Lamm or the Tännesberger Rotvieh projects. After all, nature is our greatest asset. We serve venison from our local hunting grounds, fine deer salami from Ostermühle, handmade cheese from Laaber, freshly caught trout, and many other culinary specialities.
The Bräustüberl is one of the 10 Slow Food restaurants in the Nuremberg convivium. The most recent appearance in the Slow Food Guide guarantees culinary enjoyment, fresh, seasonal ingredients, and authentic, regional cuisine. With descriptions such as “casual atmosphere with a high feel-good factor” and “good, unpretentious cuisine”, Der Feinschmecker once again commends our gourmet hotel in Bavaria by listing it in “The Best Restaurants for Everyday – 400 Spots for Connoisseurs.”
Since 1628, our hotel’s own brewery near Velburg has been producing distinctive beer from the best regional ingredients following the traditional method of open fermentation. Go on a journey of the senses and taste our beer specialities at a beer tasting.
Join us on a guided tour through the brewery, admire the history of brewing in our TraditionsReich Kupfer exhibition centre, and buy some home-brewed beers from our brewery shop to enjoy at home.
